Some Favorite Oki Spots

I'm back to share a few of my favorite Oki spots! There are so many amazing cafes and restaurants on this little island, and it's been a blast trying to try them all. I wanted to share a few of my favorites!

1. Hapi Tapi

323 Yamada, Onna, Kunigami District, Okinawa 904-0416 ($, card, yen)

I LOVE this cute lil cafe. I never realized how much I love Boba until coming here. They have a million different flavors, and always have fun seasonal drinks as well! They have a few small dishes here as well like taco rice, but I come just for the bubble tea. It's delicious! Plus, the inside is adorable and makes for some great photos.

2. BeaPa

4 Yonashiroyahira, Uruma, Okinawa 904-2427 ($, card, yen)

This little pizza spot not only has phenomenal pizza, but the view is amazing! This entire area is really cute - it's a bunch of small cafes and coffeeshops located right off a busy road, surrounded by water. It's the perfect spot to go to when it's a beautiful day and you're craving some sunshine and some pizza! They also have bubble tea and fruit smoothies!

3. Cafe Halcyon

15-64 Minato 1F, Chatan, Nakagami District, Okinawa 904-0114 ($, card, yen)

This crepe place is wildly popular and for good reason - I LOVE their crepes! This cafe is the cutest vegan spot, and the girls that run this shop are the sweetest! The inside is small, there's plenty of seating and they have really cute decor! It's located right on the seawall too, so it's a great spot to grab a crepe and walk outside to enjoy the view!

4. 808 Poke

2326-1 Onna, Kunigami District, Okinawa 904-0411 ($, card, yen)

Listen - this is going to sound dramatic. But, if I had to pick only one restaurant to go to for the rest of my time on island... 808 might take the cake. Not only do I crave their poke constantly, I recently tried their acai bowls - and they are equally as amazing. Hot take, but I am 100% CONVINCED that this is the best poke on island. Period. Plus, the staff is always o friendly and it's a beautiful drive to get here!

5. The Bros Sandwich Stand

590-1 Yamada, Onna, Kunigami District, Okinawa 904-0416 ($, Card, Yen)

This place is right by Hapi Tapi, and is absolutely worth a stop if you're in the area! While it seems pretty basic - just a classic sandwich, something about these is magical. Maybe it's the spam or the sauce inside, but I loved this spot for lunch! Plus, I never turn down an onion ring and these were delicious!

6. Green Leaf Cafe

224-17 Senaha, Yomitan, Nakagami District, Okinawa 904-0325

This is a newer to me cafe, but it's delicious and an amazing option if you're looking for a good spot to find some vegan/vegetarian meals! I got this tempeh salad that CHANGED my life. Seriously. I've never had tempeh before this salad, and now I'm determined to find it somewhere on island to make myself. I loved it! They also have good acai bowls, and other great salad options as well! There's two different locations, but we went to the one in Yomitan, and went to the the Zanpa lighthouse afterwards!
