Drew and I have been in Japan for almost two months now, and are just getting into exploring this island we call home! Okinawa is such a beautiful place to call home. It’s so full of history, incredible views, and most importantly – amazing food!

I’m kicking off my first blog post with some photos and a video from our trip to Nago!
Nago is towards the Northern part of the island, and it takes a little under two hours to get there. Geographically, it’s not very far, but the speed limits in Oki are pretty slow, and there’s almost always traffic! Luckily, the views on the drive were beautiful, and the weather was perfect for exploring. We drove up the coast, ate lunch at Anettaichaya Hammock Cafe, visited Ocean Expo Park, and then wrapped up at the beach!

Ocean Expo Park is massive – we could’ve spent all day here! The park includes places like the aquarium and a few other exhibits, but we stuck with the botanical gardens, and the Tropical Dream Center. There are so many beautiful flower displays, exhibits on trees and plants native to Okinawa, and the view from the top of the observation tower is incredible. It was a beautiful day, and I highly recommend this area if you’ve headed towards Nago!
